The second module in the series, Thunderspire Labyrinth is much less linear. It lets you focus on getting the rules right and learning all the 'funky new 4e stuff'. It's very combat oriented and quite linear but I think that's necessary when learning a system. I always see a ton of hate for Shadowfell. It's 2nd (or possibly even 3rd) level and meant to continue the 1st level adventure from the Red Box. (But I confess that I haven't read it yet.) Reavers of Harkenwold is not 1st level. I've also heard good things about Reavers of Harkenwold, from the, which isn't on your list. You just might be able to find it if you do a search for: drag1-1 'many hands' pdf. I have no idea what the distribution was on the thing when it came out or if it's 'in print' in any official way.
